Let go of all things

“let go of all things,” He said

without an intonation of demand

“let go of all things,” He said

“and you certainly get me and …”

“And!” I thought. “And … what?”

“Nothing,” He said. “And … nothing.”

“Nothing … nothing is needed.”

“For I am not nothing, but everything.”

Everything I’ve ever needed or wanted

So I let go … I relinquish

Every day … each moment

Until only Him can I distinguish.
