After Resurrection … an Easter Poem

easter 09.jpg

After resurrection, there is peace

Strivings can cease

Breathing can slow

After resurrection, there is peace

A peace that surpasses understanding

A peace that calms my fears

After resurrection, there is peace

All things are made new

The promise of hope is real

After resurrection, there is peace

Selah

Hallelujah

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (John 20:19)
