What people are saying …

“The devotional received so much positive feedback. Week after week people told me how much they were enjoying it. Several people indicated that they we’re going to do it again immediately after Advent because they felt like there was more they could get out of it. Thank you for the time, prayers and wisdom you poured into this writing this book.” Mary Beth Rentsch, church leader in Michigan

Study Guide for Brother Lawrence

The Practice of the Presence of God front cover

“The Practice of the Presence of God” with Study Guide is now available. We were designed to live life in the “presence of God” and this study guide helps the reader walk through reflection questions and various prayer “experiments” that apply the simple, yet profound concepts that Brother Lawrence shared centuries ago. Each chapter includes a group discussion so that the material can be processed and applied in community. This study guide includes the text of Brother Lawrence’s Conversations and Letters. You can order copies on Amazon – click here. Or, if you’d like to order in bulk (1o or more copies), we can offer them at a reduced rate of $8 each (which includes shipping). Click here.

Lenten Devotional/Journal

I joined with a friend, Terry Montague, and put together a journal with reflection questions, prayers, and weekly group discussion questions to go along with Stephen Macchia’s “Outstretched Arms of Grace.” You can pick up both on Amazon or at the Leadership Transformations Bookstore, here. Note: you can go through the daily devotional alone but the companion guide only works alongside the devotional.

The God Who Dances is a study which looks at the movements of God in forming us in the context of relationship with Himself. The text from which the book springs is Ephesians 4:17-24. You can access the study by clicking here.

The following video was filmed in April 2012 as a representation of The God Who Dances. Thanks to videographer Jeff Scroggins and dancers/choreographers: Paige Nyman, Joe Velazquez, and Nicole Von Enck.

  2. Ted, praying for your strength as you recover from your trip to Ft Worth.
I was hoping to find a book of your “blog” collections. Oh! How each one ministers so deeply to me. Before printing each one, I thought I’d check with you.
Grace, peace and strength as you feel Gods arms holding you,

    • Hi! I am so honored that you being encouraged through things I’ve written. The collection of blogs that are in book form is “Let Every Heart prepare him room” – just search that on Amazon and you will find it. If you have trouble – let me know. Grace and peace to you!!!

      • Thank you Ted. Do they also include

        Sent from my iPad

      • Ted, Yes, I have been so blessed by the blogs specific to your health/Cancer Diagnosis. Are they available yet for printing? And, Yes! I am excited to have some of the Advent Books in my Amazon Cart for Christmas gifts. Though we have not personally met, I feel as if I know you and your family through several connections: John, Christy Fonvielle. More specifically through the entries your family made through the years in the Fonvielle Perdido Beach “Thank You” journal. Such sweet words, drawings by the kids many years back. So, we have prayed for you as though you’re an extension of the Fonvielle Family. Secondly, your precious mom and I had the pleasure of knowing one another for the last 6 months of her life here on earth. So, I’ve prayed for you as Cheryl’s son. Finally, I had a Traumatic Brain Injury in 2017 and was in Out Patient Brain Rehab for more than a year. Into the second year, your pop and I shared the same cognitive speech pathologist at Harris Hospital downtown.

But, it is through the posts that Christy started forwarding from your blogs that your transparency spoke such clarity about who you are. Continuing to pray that you tolerate the meds that will slow down the pneumonia and can breathe easily. May you feel so well loved by the One who calls you “Beloved.”

        Grace and peace,

        Deb Debra Sewell

  3. Deb, thanks for giving the context. I knew your name was familiar. I’m so glad you knew my mom in the last months of her life. And, yes, we feel like a part of the Fonvielle family. Of course you can download any of the writings and print them out if you’d like. I’m glad that they’ve ministered to you. I look forward to staying in touch.
